He Has Risen
Matthew 28:6
“He is not here, for he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where the Lord was laid.”
Christ has risen… and that changes everything.
He not only conquered death; He did it for us. It was not a distant act—it was deeply personal. He carried what we could not carry, paid what we could never pay, and opened a way we could never open.
Sometimes we live as though we have to “earn” God’s favor, as though our relationship with Him depends on what we do right or wrong. But the cross and the resurrection proclaim a clear truth:
He has already done it all.
There is nothing left to add. No work remains to be completed. No debt is outstanding. Christ said, “It is finished”… and by rising again, He confirmed that the work was complete.
That is why our response is not striving… it is gratitude.
It is not trying to earn what we do not deserve… it is living surrendered to Him.
He gave us life when we were spiritually dead. He raised us up, forgave us, and gave us purpose. And now, the life we have is no longer for ourselves.
We no longer live for our own interests, our own priorities, or our own egos.
We live for the One who died and rose again for us.
The resurrection does not merely save us… it transforms us.
It invites us into a new life centered on Christ, where every decision, every step, and every day is a response of love to what He has already done.
Lord Jesus, thank You… because You did it all for me.
Thank You for the cross, for forgiveness, and for the new life You have given me.
Forgive me when I live as though everything depends on me.
Today I acknowledge that my life no longer belongs to me.
I want to live for You, with a grateful, surrendered, and sincere heart.
May each day reflect what You have done in me.
In Your name, Jesus, amen.
